Welcome to Bishop Challoner Catholic College

As a highly successful college, we provide our students with a range of educational opportunities. Our college offers over 20 A/AS level subjects with a range of vocational subjects including BTEC Sport and Health and Social Care. A/AS level and vocational qualifications can also be combined if desired. We offer a host of study and recreational facilities that include a state of the art sports centre, new science and food technology laboratories, a recently opened auditorium and theatre for drama, musical and media productions at a highly professional level and four band new Sixth Form classrooms including a state of the art Media suite.

Creative Arts Faculty

A major strength of our Sixth Form, the Creative Arts Faculty produces impressive work year after year. This year students will continue to benefit from the new auditorium designed to allow students to perform in a stage setting and to analyse each others performances.  Also within the Creative Arts our innovative Art department begins life drawing as an option for our A-level.

Our media students are equally well catered for with a newly opened editing suite and a fully functioning radio station.

Our staff strive to ensure that their students have every opportunity to explore their craft and in the Autumn term they are travelling to Los Angeles to do just that!

Sports Faculty

Our purpose built Sports Hall incorporating state of the art sports equipment, dojo and analysis room. These excellent facilities are available for our A-Level Physical Education and BTEC students and to all our students on enrichment afternoon. See our enrichment timetable for more details of our exciting enrichment options.

Science Faculty

Recently completed purpose built laboratories ensure that our Science faculty is an exciting place to study. Biology, Physics and Chemistry are taught by experts in their subjects and many of our students go on to study science based degrees.

Psychology is a very popular subject in our 6th form and incorporates field trips to Twycross Zoo to study the behaviour of primates.

All our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and LCD projectors.
